About This Tea
Taking freshly harvested tea leaves and exposing them to a nitrogen enriched environment in a sealed chamber instead of the regular oxygen which causes the natural glutamic acid in the leaves to transform into GABA. Once that's done, the tea leaves are processed and packaged the regular way. This process increases the GABA content from approximately 6 to 10 milligrams per 100 grams to over 150mg of GABA per 100 grams. Health Notes: GABA stands for gamma-amino butyric acid which is an essential amino acid and one of the main neurotransmitters in our central nervous system. One of the many functions of GABA is to prevent over-excitement of the nervous system and thus provide a calming relaxing effect and help reduce feelings of anxiety, stress, and fear. There are many GABA supplements available on the market today and GABA teas are one of the natural way of providing this.
