About This Tea
The Great Western tea estate is situated at the foothills of the majestic Great Western range, reputed to consist of the sixth highest peak in Sri Lanka at an elevation 2215 m. The estate is located at an elevation of 1448 m above sea level. The total acreage of the Great Western Estate is 628 hectares and produces around 615,000 KG of tea annually. The tea fields are the largest within the Dimbulla regions, spanning 628 hectares. First tea estate to obtain the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) certificate.
