In the late 1980s, Ted Jones worked with commodity traders in London and discovered a small tea merchant in Cape Town that sparked an idea. Years later, that idea became Tea Trader — a shop that's been part of Calgary's fabric for over three decades.

From sharing space with antique dealers in Inglewood to becoming one of Canada's first businesses on the internet in 1995, our story is one of passion, persistence, and perfectly brewed tea.
